It happens to the best of us.
You're going through that period of time where you feel stuck. You're in a rut and have no clue how to get out of your own thoughts, negativity-infested mind, and lack of motivation. Getting out of bed becomes harder and harder to do and you look toward each new day with dread & uncertainty. "What is it going to take to get me out of this mess?"
I want you to take a deep breath, close your eyes, and shut off the world around you. Now repeat after me: "I'm human and it's okay to feel like this." We all go through these points in our lives where it seems like nothing is making any sense. Does that mean you're doing everything wrong? No. It just means you're getting caught up in overthinking and over-analyzing. The worst thing you can do is to stop dead in your tracks because of the fear of uncertainty and the unknown.
People go through what's called over-analysis paralysis. Meaning their current state of overthinking is causing them to not take action or make a decision. Your mind fills with worry, thoughts/fears of failure, and discontentment. You need to shift your focus on what you want to happen instead of constantly focusing your energy on what you don't want to happen. Easier said than done though right?
Try this(Set a damn reminder in your phone if you have to):
For the next 21 days, for 5 minutes to start, before bed and after you wake up, control your conscious rational thoughts and use them for positive thinking.
For example: If you've been eating terribly, start saying to yourself, "Today I'm going to make wiser eating choices. Choices that are going to help me towards my weight loss goal(If that's your goal) and choices that are going to make my body feel good. Think these thoughts first then in the morning and last thing at night. Repeat them if you have to.
Conscious rational thought paired with deep feeling & desire will help you change your beliefs and attitude. Thinking about the outcome that you want helps jumpstart the process needed to make it happen. We must learn to use the power of our conscious mind for good. We must realize that if we can control our thoughts, we can take control of our lives and get out of the rut we believe we're trapped in.
You must want a positive change for yourself. You must think about the results you want and stop worrying about the results you don't.
Above all else, you must learn to not let yourself stay stuck. Your mind is your most powerful weapon if you learn how to use it to your advantage.
